Fun Jazz Scatting Exercise

Getting back to basics and practising a bit a rhythm can really help your jazz scatting. Quite often we get bogged down with worrying about our vocal tone, our articulation or hitting the right notes which can really hinder the progress of our scat singing.
In today’s video we’re going to break through all of the noise and focus just on the scat syllables and rhythms. Rhythm is the foundation of all scat singing it is crucial to have good rhythm in order to sound good when you’re scat singing.
So I have a simple call and response exercise for you where I sing first, and then you copy. Easy and fun!
