How to Sing ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran – Mastering Octave Jumps!
_____________________________________________________
I love Ed Sheeran’s music. He speaks to the people and he uses ‘ordinary’ relateable people in his music videos…. plus his voice is good too! his latest hit ‘Perfect’ has been rolling around in my head for weeks now and so I thought Id do a little tutorial on how to nail those tricky octave jumps throughout the chorus.
Happy singing!

Nicola, just another great video. Thank you so much. I never really listened to this song (my wife love Ed Sheeran) so I may have to surprise her for her birthday with my version. Wish me luck. Have a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with Peace and Love. Safe travels back to Perth, home is where the heart is, right?

Thanks Ben! I hope you had a lovely Christmas too!
You have just unlocked the chain in my neck. I have been too shy to sing, friends told me to be quiet and kids ran away, that how terrible I used to sing. I now know my problems after watching your videos, before my singing was flat and boring more like reading a textbook with no voice harmony. I wanted to correct but had no idea how. Thanks for your tutorials, I’ve learned to add more characters to my singing, it’s not the best yet but I sing a lot better. The wife and kids stop running away when I sing in the kitchen so that’s a bonus. Cheers!
